What Strong Mama?

Being a Mama is a workout in itself, but finding time for your fitness can be tough. Strong Mama is designed specifically for mamas, whether you’re postnatal, chasing toddlers, or just looking for a supportive space to rebuild strength, confidence, and energy this is the class for you!

This is an effective way to exercise with your child, so there’s no need for childcare! Strong Mama allows you to bond with your little one while you work out, making fitness fun for both of you. You even have the option to utilise your child’s body weight to add an extra challenge to your exercises if you want to!

Over the course of our sessions, you'll gradually build up your fitness level, rehabilitate your body after having a baby, and strengthen key areas like your core and pelvic floor. It’s a super fun, upbeat workout that both you and your child will love!

What to expect at a Strong Mama Class

Each Strong Mama session is designed to help you build strength, increase confidence, and feel amazing - all in a safe, supportive space. Our classes follow a structured flow, ensuring you get the most out of every session while having fun and working at your own pace. Every class is designed to be adaptable, welcoming, and empowering, because strong looks different for every mama.

  • We start with a gentle but effective warm-up to get your body moving and ready for action. Expect fun cardio based and dynamic movements to wake up your muscles, loosen any tension, and get your heart rate up, setting you up for a great workout.

  • This section is all about functional strength, helping you feel stronger in everyday life! You can choose to utilise you babies weight to make the exercises a little harder or you can use dumbbells, resistance bands, or bodyweight exercises to build muscle, improve posture, and increase endurance in a safe, effective way. Every movement is designed with mums in mind, helping you rebuild core strength and stability post-pregnancy.

  • Time to hit the mat! This section is perfect for creating lasting memories with you little ones and focuses on core strength, glute activation, and stability — crucial for postnatal recovery and overall strength. All exercises are safe for post-birth and beyond! And will help to effectively rebuild your strength.

  • This is a special moment in the class where you can choose to hold your baby/little one while completing fun strength-based movements, using their weight as resistance. Whether it’s squats, lunges, or lifts, this section helps you build strength while deepening your bond with your little one. It’s a beautiful way to connect, cuddle, and move together.

  • We finish every session with a cooldown, focusing on deep stretches, mobility work, and relaxation. This is your time to breathe, reset, and leave feeling refreshed and accomplished, ready to take on the rest of your day!

  • "Kelly makes the class fun and enjoyable with her high energy and great attitude. The class is all about moving your body in a way that feels right for you and not weight loss focused, which I appreciate and feel more classes should take this approach to fitness."

  • "100% recommend Boost fit at Broad Oak village hall! Kelly is the best instructor and puts you at ease instantly. She is motivating and keeps the classes fun and interesting. I find it super hard to stay interested when starting fitness classes, but Kelly has made me want to go back again and again. The routines are super easy to learn and i loved how there were different levels of intensity for different abilities. Working out and having fun"

  • "I don’t know what Kelly has done to me, but I suddenly LOVE exercise!!! My friend dragged me along to my first boostfit class, I didn’t have high hopes as I usually can’t stand this sort of thing as I’m unfit, have terrible coordination and always feel like an idiot compared to others in the class....not at boostfit!!! We are all equals there, it doesn’t matter if you get it wrong, everyone has a giggle together and we all push ourselves more than we ever thought we would with Kelly’s fantastic motivation! Several months later and I’m still going, I’m seeing and feeling improvement each week and it really is the highlight of my week! "
